Isaac Flamino
Southeastern starting pitcher Isaac Flamino proved why he is the Blackhawks' ace in a stellar performance this past week against Iowa Lakes. Flamino threw eight innings with zero earned runs, zero walks and eight strikeouts while posting a season-low 0.75 WHIP. It was his best performance of the season as he added to his conference-high win total with five. He has thrown 35.2 innings with a 4.79 ERA, a 1.26 WHIP and 49 strikeouts in his freshman campaign. He will likely throw again this weekend against Division I foe Indian Hills.
Softball
Logan Kelley
Southeastern utility player Logan Kelley stuffed the stat sheet in four games over the past week. She went 8-for-13 with two home runs, a double, six RBIs and six runs, along with a .706 OBP, a 1.154 slugging percentage and a 1.860 OPS. Kelley and the Blackhawks outscored both opponents by a combined score of 42-14. Kelley has been one of the best hitters in the ICCAC this season, leading the conference in home runs (15) while ranking third in batting average (.429) and RBIs (45). Kelley and the Blackhawks are back in action this week with two games against Indian Hills.
Araceli Rivas
Southeastern starting pitcher Araceli Rivas proved why she is one of the most reliable arms for the Blackhawks over the past week with two solid outings. She totaled 11 innings with five earned runs and 18 strikeouts. She notched two more wins to bring her total to five. On the season, she has thrown 83.2 innings with a 3.10 ERA, a 1.36 WHIP and a conference-leading 102 strikeouts. Her 11 strikeouts against St. Louis are the third-most she has recorded in a game in her career. Rivas will likely throw again this week against Indian Hills
